The other day at my library's annual Valentine's Day Card-making Party, a little girl whom I had never met before took a long look at me, admiring the feathers in my hair and my black and white polka-dot apron, and declared with unabashed enthusiasm, "I LIKE YOU!"
I've had a few rough days of late, but it's moments like that which make me realized how lucky I am.
Thank you! :-)
miss patricia fun time!
what's the most fun job in the world? being a kid's and teen librarian, of course! yes, there's work involved (bleh!), but how many people get to sing badly in front of an appreciative audience, play catch with starstruck toddlers, make and eat yummy rice balls with teens, and GET PAID FOR IT??!! admit it.....you SOOOO want to be me! and through the magic of blogs (plus a little imagination), you can.....welcome to MISS PATRICIA FUN TIME!!!

My current fashion icon is a 5-year-old
Maddie came up to me while I was shelving picture books and showed me her outfit...omg, she had PINK GLITTER BOOTS!!! I wanted to ask her where she got them, but after all, she is only 5 years old...
Even tho I have a good 40 years on her (yikes!), it just goes to show that "girls is girls", and glitter is the Dr. Who of fashion, crossing all barriers of time and space.
